Website Live Chat → Slack Plugin
A WordPress plugin that turns website visitor chats into Slack threads, replacing a third-party SaaS chat tool.
What I built
- Two-way bridge between a visitor chat popup and Slack via the Events API and a bot, with auto first-message, busy-hours messaging, unread counts in page titles and configurable popup placement.
- Operational tooling: a `wp ctlc doctor` health-check CLI, version check with update prompt, daily notification caps, page allow-listing and Wordfence-compatible hardening.
- Adversarial code review, staged rollout with a pilot user, and end-user documentation; retired the incumbent SaaS tool after a clean three-day run.
