How to Enable/Disable vertical and horizontal scrolling using touchpad in ubuntu

Ubuntu provides configuration of the most common touchpad options in
System > Preferences > Mouse

Below the some common options you would like to enable under the Touchpad tab.

Edge Scrolling
Enable horizontal scrolling
Enable mouse clicks with touchpad
